Description

This small antique leaded-glass tile window is constructed from a combination of clear textured and patterned glass, arranged within a simple geometric leaded framework.

The contrast between the rippled, hammered and vertically textured glass gives the piece considerably more visual interest than its restrained monochrome palette might initially suggest. When placed in front of natural light, the different textures catch and distort the light beautifully.

Its compact size makes it versatile for contemporary interiors as well as period settings. It could be displayed in a window, incorporated into a cabinet or interior joinery project, mounted within a larger glazed composition, or simply enjoyed as a small architectural object.

The original leadwork and age-related surface character have been retained, preserving the authenticity and individuality of the piece.
