A striking matched pair of British antique leaded glass panels dating to the early 20th century, combining clear bullseye hand spun roundels with rich turquoise glass in a strong geometric design.

Dimensions: H35.5 x W38.5cm each (approx 14 x 15.2 in)
Origin: Britain, salvaged from a property in St Ives Cornwall.

Each panel is composed of sixteen substantial clear circular bullseye style glass roundels arranged within a geometric leaded framework and surrounded by a border of richly coloured turquoise blue textured glass.
Smaller turquoise diamond-shaped details punctuate the central grid, while alternating clear and coloured border pieces create a particularly strong architectural composition.
The thick clear glass displays attractive natural variation, rippling and distortion, becoming especially effective when illuminated by daylight. Against this the turquoise glass takes on a vivid jewel-like quality.
