Antique British Stained Glass Fruit Roundel Panel – c.1900 | 25 × 63 cm

A decorative antique British leaded stained glass panel dating to around the turn of the 20th century, centred by a beautifully painted fruit and foliage roundel.

The composition combines softly coloured textured glass in pale green, blush pink, amber and cream with a deep ruby-red border around the central medallion. Two small circular bull’s-eye details sit symmetrically to either side, giving the panel a particularly pleasing architectural balance.

Date: Circa 1890–1910

Dimensions: H25 × W63 cm
Approx. H9.8 × W24.8 inches

Condition: Antique condition with age-related wear throughout. The panel has some slight bowing consistent with age and its original lead construction. The central painted fruit roundel remains intact. There are several minor hairline fractures to individual glass sections, visible in the photographs. The original leadwork shows surface oxidation and historic character. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.

Delivery & Returns: Carefully packed for transit. Tracked and insured delivery available. International buyers are welcome; duties, import VAT or local customs charges remain the buyer’s responsibility where applicable.

The central roundel is the principal decorative feature, depicting a stylised arrangement of fruit and leaves in warm golden-yellow tones, delicately painted onto pale glass. Surrounding panes include a mixture of softly rippled and textured glass, creating considerable variation as natural light passes through the panel.

The subdued palette and strong geometric framework make this particularly versatile for contemporary interiors. It could be incorporated into an internal window, door, partition, kitchen or bathroom installation, or displayed as an individual architectural artwork.

Its surviving old leadwork, subtle imperfections and softly aged glass give the piece the character expected of genuine architectural stained glass rather than a modern reproduction.

A distinctive one-off piece of British architectural history suitable for both period and contemporary interiors.
